Merry Christmas

I thought I’d have all this time to write when I was home visiting my family in Illinois for Christmas. That hasn’t been the case. There’s no wi-fi at my parents’ house, but the main reason is, I’ve just been busy. Although I have yet to publish my Thanksgiving post (I thought sure I could at least get it ready by Christmas), I wanted to post a quick holiday message.

My dad is downstairs working on the computer, and everyone else has gone to bed. Tim just brought Miss Adelaide to me as I was tapping this out on my phone while sitting in front of the Christmas tree. She had been asleep, but apparently Adelaide didn’t want me to publish a post witout an accompanying photo.

I’m so blessed to have such an amazing family – both on my side and Tim’s. We celebrated our daughter’s first Christmas today, and I am overwhelmed by the love that surrounds us. Merry Christmas to all our family and friends both near and far. May your hearts and homes be warm, may each difficulty reveal a blessing and may the spirit of the season bring joy to you and your loved ones all year through.

For some reason, this is one of my favorite pictures of little Miss A. She looks like she knows she’s causing you trouble, but how could anyone ever be mad?

Well put. We could have used it as our Christmas card photo.
